I love how Jimmy never forgets to sprinkle a reminder of MJ's greatness
@usernameispassword the first half of that season he was putting up 25, on 45%.
He got injured dummy.
@Roro Lebron hasn’t come close to leading the league in rebounds lol. If you don’t compare about positions, why aren’t you comparing Lebron ‘s rebounding stats to Andre Drummond or Dennis Rodman ? LMAO
@Issac Newton bro we talking about the GOAT. Not shooting guards💀💀 cool mj can lead shooting guards IDC. Bron leads the entire league. The goat GG. Easy 😂😂 you dont know a single thing about basketball. Prob born in 2013 LOL
@Roro 🌝Assists? MJ is top 5 among shooting guards all time in assists per game at 5.3. The only shooting guards with more assists per fame than him are combo guards meaning guys who alternating between playing the pg and sg. Players like Harden and Iverson. Can you just admit that you don’t anything about basketball ? lol
@Roro 🌝Are you on drugs or something? Lol MJ averaged 6.2 rebounds per game for his career. That’s more than any shooting guard in the past 30 years.
These past couple of months haven’t been fun for me because I was diognosed with leukemia. And jimmy constantly uploading videos just makes the battle so much easier. Man really deserves a vacation for how much work he’s putting into these videos and how constantly we are getting them
You got this bro
Praying for you
I hope you're doing well man! Find any way you can to fight that battle, you deserve to get past it. Keep moving forward man, I'm glad you found a way to help yourself.
Your in my prayers hope you feel better soon
Praying for you bro❤️
Honestly, i believe this is an emotional rollercoaster season for the Warriors and it translates on how the team and especially Steph have been playing. They are at the top of the league once again after a very tough stretch of seasons (on the midst of their all-time dinasty). You can tell they play impatiently at times, turning the ball over too much and rushing up some shots. Add to that Steph breaking the 3pt record and Klay finally coming back, when impatience has been at a season-high level. They also play incredibly consistent and excellent defense so it evens out most times. Despite of it all their overall talent and championship pedigree are good enough for them to be title contenders (or even favorites). They’ve said it time and time again this year is championship or bust for them. I expect the team’s offensive consistency to step up sooner than later. That’s the priority, whether it comes during the next 10 games or the last 10 games of the regular season. I would love to see Steph win the MVP again, but I’d rather watch him win his first Finals MVP and 4th ring.
@Jocelyn Labbe he is a point guard. Grow up.
It came the last 5 games of the regular season
@Jocelyn Labbe you said he’s not a good point guard then proceed to say he’s not a point guard
@CB TV not sure what confuses you. I said he's a great player, but not a good point guard.
@Diego neither do I. But Klay (in an interview before coming back) and Draymond (podcast) have said it themselves
"In a season where Lebron is playing like he’s 25, Kevin Durant has hit his 3rd peak, and Stephen Curry has officially become the 3-point god, it’s looking like none of these all-time greats will go home with the coveted award" - JxmyHighroller, 2022
@Daniel H steals and blocks=/= good defender casual
@Konrad Zaleski He leads the league in turnovers for a career. I think it's more than one game. It's many games. He's up there almost every year at the top with most turnovers. Look it up.
@Eric Bogar one game doesn't make you right lmfao
@Konrad Zaleski Lebron had 7 turnovers last night. That makes me right. LOL
@Eric Bogar Lmfao
One thing you do great is that you don’t focus on one player for all your videos. You really diversify the channel with videos about a lot of players. Keep up the good work jimmy
Gonna be honest, the biggest difference has been Draymond Green being out for almost the exact number of games. If Draymond can get back healthy, you'll see Steph shoot up again - after all, Draymond is the real PG of the GSW.
@Pablo Herasme Klay only provides more scoring. I mean, it's more than that, of course. But as far as roles go, Klay is their second choice scorer
@Anthony Huang Kyrie playing at MVP level too, but he's not doing it consistently. He's still playing really good though. Especially in that Warriors game
@Anthony Huang Curry is struggling because all he can do is shoot 3s. Why he have not attack the paint? Why he does not play iso? Why he has not went to his mid range game? If he not hitting 3s he is average. He has no skill besides three ball.
@MrMahazestar draymond green means way more to that team then ayton Bismack biyombo had a double double for 6 games In a row with Chris Paul
Also to note: MJ slump was during the Last Dance when Rodman was in a slump, Scottie was hurt, Jordan was putting in overtime
Well Stephs slump was also with draymond out, maybe they’re not used to not having their “glue guy”?
@Betty Zyrebchyk It wasn’t a slump. “Black Jesus” as Reggie Miller would say lol
@Betty Zyrebchyk it wasent a slump. He is still better than most all stars during it 😂😂 another mark for the goat staying the goat. The media loves drama. But they have to stop lieing to these kids man.
How could God have a slump?
I’m pretty sure the MVP is awarded to the player who is the most valuable to a franchise. So Giannis being in front makes sense cause he is majority of the reason why the Bucks are where they are right now. Not only do you have to look at stats but how this person is able to manage the team and be the definitive leader which is something I haven’t been seeing recently.
I honestly think Ja is top 5 at least, guys leading an young average team to the top of the west. His numbers are also outstanding
Trust me if that was the case Lebron and Jordan would have more mvps than they do.
What about Nikola Jokic? He literally dominates on every stat on the nuggets, he is the best offensive player of the team and best defensive player.
No idea why CP3 just gets canceled out. What he has done the last few seasons for the teams he’s been on
@Spreedom this is 10000% facts. Look at the net ratings with and without him for even more proof
Jimmy, another great video. My jaw dropped at the stats from MJ and AI. Thanks as always!
I think Steph would be happier with another ring than the mvp award. Hope they really win this season. It'll be so special. Winning in the 75th anniversary and potentially a finals mvp? damn.
This is aging well so far
they won't
@Gaming_SportsAaron 13 a suns or grizzlies match up would be hard series to win but I think the Warriors can take home the dub.
Uh no. They ain’t making it to finals. But there’s a chance
Y’all are underestimating how long Curry’s slump has been, it’s been way longer than 6 games.
It’s been more like 20 games of playing mediocre compared to his usual standards.
Yeah exactly
@Nostra factssssss. like around thanksgiving time after their second meeting that week. He played like shit the first game then came back and cooked them but dropped back down again.
@Kisembe Namusyule Can’t blame him for his efficiency against that Raptors team too much, they were a special defense. They had already locked down both Embiid and Giannis on their way to the Finals, and Curry still outperformed both of them, he also outperformed Leonard that series.
Thank you!!! People keep looking at points per game. His efficiency is the worst of his prime and he isn’t getting to the freethrow line and his last playoff series against Toronto in 2019 his efficiency was horrible
You speaking FACTS. Go look at the whole season and almost every other game he shoots under 35% from 3. Lately it's been more frequent. This whole season has been "ehh"
Your performance never lets us down Jimmy. Love the content!
The quality of this content is absurd. Thank you for what you do, there's no one better.
Living and dying on elite long-distance shooting is a hard way to go. I've always respected Curry for his final second halfcourt heaves. He lets her rip with no thought for the percentage stat. There's a statistical limit to maintaining, say, 50/40/90 through x number of games or seasons.
Like Tony Gwynn said about batting .400, it's just too damn hard.
The quality of your content put you in a league of your own. If I had a chart I would crop in on the other channels and then zoom out a ton, not to fast though, slow enough for dramatic effect, revealing you on the top with a crazy gap. Keep up the good work!
Just a video idea but a video on the issues the Celtics have been having this season and the consistency in blowing decently large leads should be looked at
He cursed himself when, after breaking the record, he said "I'm finally comfortable saying I'm the greatest shooter of all time".
Giannis Jokic Embid KD have been clear of Steph all season but the media have been campaigning for him so bad it’s actually shameful. Good to see people are actually waking up to this.
@Abass until dezember steph was in front because he played on the same level as the others and hs team record speaks for him after that giannis and durant were better and in january steph hit the slump and is now out^^ jokic is the clear frontrunner but was not really in the conversation until durant goes down and giannis team has close to the same place in the east as denver in the west embiid was never in the conversation until a week ago
@Jedd Gangman The stats are there. KD Giannis Jokic were all having equally as good if not better seasons than Steph but the narrative was with him the whole time
@Keisha Brown he was but ok
This man talking like this shi political 😭😭
@Jedd Gangman no he wasn’t
I still believe KD will be able to run for this race (if the Nets keep this good run even without him). People are not even worried if he's gonna come back good from this injury. They know he will.
@Lenos Etige I think it's a tendency. Usually you can't become MVP if your team isn't doing well, for example. And there's still the rest of the season to be played, so it's not like he's gonna be out until the playoffs. It's just a possibility, tho. His chances were damaged by this injury for sure.
How will nets doing well without him, help he's case.
I’m gonna be totally honest bro, never stop making these videos for us 😭
@Aj Castro had to create conflict
brutal honesty
ong
@Aj Castro he made a video on why he is multiple times L
ong

I’m gonna be totally honest bro, never stop making these videos for us
I agree with the overall premise of the video, except for the fact that a regular season mvp will give him an edge in making it to the top 10.
Regular season accolades isn’t what curry really needs at this point of his career. He’s already proven time and time that he is a force to reckon with in the regular season. From all time three point record, to 2x back to back mvp (first unanimous), to breaking the the regular season record etc.
What will really be legacy defining for curry is a finals mvp. Time and time again, critics have undervalued curry’s worth in the playoffs and without a finals mvp, chances are, he will still be “looking outside” the the top ten. Similar to wilt, how some wont put him in the top ten due to his lackluster performances against bill Russell when it mattered most.
What a timing, He literally hit the first buzzer beater of his career after Jimmy put in his video he hadn't ever made a single one just a few weeks back. I think we know what's coming now after this video.
...dayum lot of fans from teams which have prolly been knocked out by Warriors and Steph during their 5 straight finals run, stay salty.
went 1/7 from three last night lmao
@Matthew Boyd 😂😂 you asked him who pood in his cheerios 😂😂😂😂
he just had a 40 point game
He won't do shit. When it comes down to the big games, curry is trash and a choker. He can't handle any pressure, which is why he look so good in the beginning games of the season- there's no pressure.
I always look forward to these videos. They're always like short movies; great content, Jxmy!
I was one of those that prayed that klay returns to help the warriors to make the playoffs and possibly championship but right now I don't feel too good since he returned because things seem to be going south daily for the team even when he plays...it seems the excitement for his return has reached an anticlimax

I really think it's his body needing to adjust to his extra mass. His mechanics are different from hitting the weights much more than he had in the past.
3:10 Shaq so good he played 10 games in 9 games. The true GOAT.
@I don’t get it Couldn't be done on purpose, or could it have🧐.
@Be Gonh huh, I wonder if that was done on purpose? 🤔
@I don’t get ityour name really says it all.
What do you mean??? Shaq is not the GOAT
You realize he meant that Shaq played 9 of the lakers first 10 games right? There was no typo
8:29 if it weren't for this loss he may be the undisputed best player. and that finals record thing would rarely be brought up because you can't really knock any of his other losses. first one he was carrying garbage to the finals, next was the immaculate spurs after wade was a husk and bosh was barely holding, then the warriors who are definitely the the in the running for best dynasty of the last 40 or so years (only behind Mj's bulls in that time frame) stacking up to the kobe shaque lakers and duncan's spurs.
Another great video! You never fail to entertain us. Amazing channel and keep up the good work!!
I swear to god Jimmy, whenever you make a video with some stat that has never been done. It happens!!! Just like tour buzzer beater video last week. You mentioned Steph not having a buzzer beater in his whole career. Well that didn’t age very well 🤣🤣🤣
Wdym it didn’t age well at the time of recording that video he literally didn’t have one
Lmao for real I came back to this for it
The warriors going from last (without steph) to first (with steph) speaks volumes as to how valuable he is
He’s averaging 21 points this month, obviously not bad for regular standards by for his standards that’s pretty bad. He’s also shooting 37 percent from the field and 32 percent from 3, I get that at the start of the year he was very valuable, but this month he’s been throwing his mvp chances away
as a MASSIVE stephen curry fan, this is literally breaking my damn heart. this guy can be the greatest player this season, and he just decided to be garbage. i really damn hate this now.
What a timing, He literally hit the first buzzer beater of his career after Jimmy put in his video he hadn't ever made a single one just a few weeks back. I think we know what's coming now after this video.
These videos are insanely well researched. Good job. 👏
Apparently his % for finishing at the rim has fallen drastically. The new foul rules may have affected him the most
I feel bad for curry, usually carrying the team when other stars are injured or just not performing
@LeUltraInstinct it's not clout it's because people know how good of a player he can be ugh honestly🤦♂️
Bruh Curry literally scored 9 points against the heat and they still won
Last night he had 13 points on 5-20 bricks and they still won
He’s getting carried by a great supporting cast and getting all the credit due to clout‼️
@Christian Edwards nope
@WayzRL Because he's not clutch simple as that
Great video. I hope Curry can come back like AI... oh yeah and Curry just hit his first game winning buzzer beater right after you posted this👀

I would love to see one player take over a whole conference again..
Love how Steph responded to the struggle with a game winner!
6-21🙂
I’m gonna be totally honest bro, never stop making these videos for us
As usual, great video, please don't stop making those 😁
Also to note: MJ slump was during the Last Dance when Rodman was in a slump, Scottie was hurt, Jordan was putting in overtime
Dope content as always man! Your work never fails.
Yeah he’s been struggling but he’s been playing good these last 3 games, hopefully he can make a comeback in the mvp talk
And just like that he proceeds to go 11/41 in the 2 games after this comment. I have no idea how his play has declined so drastically but he better figure it out if the warriors want to make a post season run. He’s shooting an ugly 39% since November 21st (27 games)
@Chicagorainydayz so how did he win a chip🤣
@Fun With Memes first of all I commented before he hit the game winner so idk why you even brought that up. Second of all, he shot 6-21 against the worst team in the west and needed a game winner to beat them 😂 he had a terrible game and isn’t winning MVP, sorry to burst your bubble
@Zack Rodriguez Okay and tonight he hit the game winning buzzer beater, try explaining that
@Chicagorainydayz but he went 0-4 in overtime meaning he choked 🤣 so what's your point? He got them to overtime but couldn't get the job done
I love what you’re doing!!! Absolutely amazing! Always waiting for a new video!
As you said in a past vid about curry, that he could miss about all the rest of his 3pt attempts the ros and still be close to or in the lead over Allen. Yes I know the talk is about mvp but my point is that should it matter? Even if he has the worst second half of a season in his career he’s still going to be known as the best shooter ever. He will still be one of the best players all time. I don’t root for his team but admire his game. I’m his height and about the same build. I can’t do anything he can
Jimmy off the basis of this, can you please do a summary on c.white and the 9-0 run that ultimately killed the bulls vs bucks. Honestly WTF
I know Lakers aren't doing great this season but the consistency of LeBron every single match always getting more than 20 points always being the best in his team and still not being in the MVP race just baffles me.
The problem with the MVP award is that people look too closely at how players finish their season instead of how they performed throughout the whole season. players who performed amazing in the first half and worse in the second get less votes than players who played amazing in the second half and worse in the first
@Only Facts Sorry, I dont get what you mean
@Only Facts Angry elf
@Only Facts No, you said voters vote for more flashy players instead of consistently great players. However, if you look at the past MVP winners that's not true... Before Jokic Giannis won it back to back. He's not a very flashy player either he's just consistently great.
@C M YOU CANT READ DO YOU???
Where did i said the MVP wasnt supposed to be consistently great?
I gave you an example what REALITY his, not what is supposed to be.
I think the worst part for me with Embiid last year was that he was all nba 2ND team, the runner up to the MVP wasnt even on the first team because of how all nba teams are co structed which sucks
Damn son I’ve watched this channel grow from the early days. Keep grinding man. Get those endorsements
Jimmy keep entertaining us, we love you :)
The quality of this dudes content still surprises me keep it up 👍
Steph: “and I took that personally”
*hits buzzer-beater
@LeUltraInstinct keep trolling mate. It's the only thing your good for lmao.
Steph is so ass this season he can’t even properly take it personally
Bro shot 6-22 and choked in the final minute of the game until the lucky shot
Then was 1-13 vs the jazz
He’s finished🤣😭
@AnTiSoCiAL69 as a minnesota fan i need jimmy to make a diss video on the twolves so we can somehow win a trophy or smth
@Ericbeast 8 he shot 20%
horrible timing for jimmy lmao
There's a big difference between starting out bad to rise to the mvp compared to dropping quality in the middle of the season... Still rooting for Steph tho! Man deserves it.
Can get a video on Joel Embiid and how he’s going on a rampage this season and no one’s really acknowledging it?? He just went 50/12 and 40/13.
Bruh imagine what Bron has to go through if y'all think this is tough
JxmyHighroller: Steph has lost the MVP
Stephen Curry hitting buzzer beater: I’m going to end his whole career
He still played bad, 1 shot isn’t gonna break him out of his slump considering a 46 point game and 27 point triple double didn’t break him out of his slump. This is assuming you extend the slump back to December which is really when it started
It wasn’t just those 6 games, he’s been struggling since he broke the 3pt record. Also multiple of the last six games were blowouts, so he didn’t get his 35 minutes.
He’s been struggling since November. This isn’t a slump
This is the decline of his career
Curry is finished💯
Bro no, it’s been bad since y’all thought he could hit 15 three’s in a game
Not since tbh, even before the few games leading up to the record
@Ronald Bibi that’s when he dipped further. One thing that gets left unsaid is his efficiency overall hasn’t been the best this season even before he got close to breaking the 3pt record; this is the first season where his EFG from 3 has been hovering at just around 40% for most of the season (even leading up to that ominous stretch just before he broke the record).
My hunch is he just has too much on his shoulders. Curry is an insane player but frankly his size is and has always been an issue. He isn’t very durable and while he’s improved and doesn’t seem as injury prone as before… he’s still just a 6’3 guard, and he gets guarded more brutally than even bigs do with teams triple teaming him on the regular. I think it just wears him out and he constantly has to be on knife’s edge to keep scoring at all bc teams are so terrified of letting him get into flow bc once he does it’s over
it's since like 4 games before he broke 3pt record, i think the record puts unnecessary pressure to him
This is more proof of Jordan’s greatness! At his absolute worst, and past his prime, he still played better than All Star NBA players today at their worst. In a tougher league than today’s NBA 😳🤯
@usernameispassword actually that doenst say it all, considering TS% is a biased stat based a lot in 3pt%, MJ had almost 45% and went in a better gamescore between the all stars in the league, so no... mJ was not mediocre...
That was not Jordan at his absolute worst. If you want to see Jordan's absolute worst, he was terrible in both of his Wizards years when he was only 1 year older than LeBron is now. For context, Jordan averaged 23 points on 22 field goal attempts on 47% True Shooting on his first Wizards year. That's worse than Westbrook this year, who is averaging 19 on 17 shots on 50% True Shooting.
Man, your production is out of this world. The details, the presentation, the narration, the humor,…. Everything is great. Keep it up.
Thanks
Yes he has had a slump but less than 12 hours after this video came out Steph hit a step back game winner at the buzzer 🧑🍳🔥
Curry is playing with glegue players around him for a long time now and this started to taking its tow
He carries the warriors pretty much alone for a season and half and he is looking burned.Except Green and his defensive skills no one else demands attention, every team is focused on curry.Durant and all the others have help. They have experinced good players around them and they can be fresh to play their game. Not Curry though
And ofcourse every team in the BBA gives their best efford to beat the warriors. If the warriors dont make a trade for a good player and give Curry some rest they are done!
curry will allways be in my heart as the basketball magician. he has prooven that he could do the impossible. No one is immune to bad games.. its just a chance. you cant avoid it. Hopefully he will get back to theese MVP numbers
@S15 enjoyer Where did I say he doesn't belong with the greats? I said he doesn't belong in the MVP conversation. He's played some of the worst basketball, efficiency wise. Literally his last game he shot 6-21 (4-13 from 3pt) and the game before vs Pacers shot 6-16 from 3pt. Keep in mind that Pacers came off a back to back and they didn't have like 4 of their starters playing.
@Jaxton Jr its not just that. Dont forget that HE IS THE Warriors. jxmmy has made a very good video about him that sums up his dominance. idk... to still argue that he does not belong amongst the greats is just not fair to him. here is the video : arclip.net/video/kLMy82NTP0Y/فيديو.html
@Spence he did. clearly u didnt watch the video xd
Flights burner 😂
Tell that to LeBron. I don’t think the dude has ever had a serious cold streak.
When the slump happens, matters.
The Iverson example was at the very beginning of the season, which is the best place for it to happen.
There is a lot of recency bias in MVP voting, Iverson slump made him look like he improved over the season.
Shaq in 2002, went from all out amazing then slumped but never returned.
Will likely be the same for Steph, people will say he was putting up a, b, c… before the slump and then note his overall season was only x, y, z - which is likely to be worse because of the slump in the middle.
Your videos are always fun and professional. You should have your own Tv time, man
..."and a new NBA season upon us?" Jimmy, I think you recycled that promo slot. But hey, least you know I watched through the whole ad. Your comment is always awesome Jimmy. Thank you!
I love when people try to act like MJ isn’t the greatest of all time, then I see yet another video proving that he is, statistically, the best.
All this just makes me see how amazing the Freak is. Consistent to the point of disgust, points, rebounds, defense… Plus he proved he can do it when it matters too. If that doesn’t make you the best player in the league I don’t know what does.
@PowderHeight CurrBrick is just run and shoot
Take away his shooting all he does is cardio
At that point he’s not different than Beverly but Beverly actually plays defense💀
@Anon no he won’t
@Harshvardhan Bhoite lel
@michael scoggins lmaoo gonna cry coz it's true... Lmao don't worry your player will win after giannis retires
@Harshvardhan Bhoite better at what? Clearing a path to the rim with his freakish frame? Missing shots? Being surrounded by former and current all stars? Having his weaknesses covered up by like 9 sharpshooters? Sure.
I really feel like his poor performances have something to do with him passing Ray Allen in all-time threes. He wasn't performing poorly until December.
jimmy your videos are perfectly timed he just had a few great games and a game winner lol
And now he hit the game winner. I knew something was gonna happen when you dropped this video 🤣
I swear I thought I was the only one thinking this and I had that exact same thought that his skill just vanished😂
Let's face it, when Jxmmy uploads, we stop what we are doing a just watch his greatness.
Cap
I do like he be posting FAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!! respect the man does his research !! I dont have the time or patiences !
I’m at work bartending but soon I saw this I went to the kitchen rn 🤣
Facts
You can see the spirit of the warriors is down. When Steph is shooting this poorly for this long, his shot selection should rightfully be questioned by his teammates. Then when you see he’s missing open ones too, you start to wonder what is actually wrong with him,
If you're here watching This and feeling inspired then keep going grinding away! We are all in the same boat here looking for ways to help all our channels. keep up the good work and Never Give Up!!

I really love all the analytical approach this channel persues, but when u show things like fractional numbers on a per game stats, that makes me question all this analytical truthfulness
I love Curry . He will certainly go down as one of the all time greats regardless . I am sure he's got at least one more ring in him , maybe 2 . But ...... The Joker is playing some insane basketball . Dude put up 49 , 14 and 10 this week ... a nearly 50 point triple double . A 49 point triple double is the 4th most in NBA history . He pulled off this crazy triple double against Joel Embiid and the Clippers , whos is also in the MVP race . Dude is averaging 25.9 points, a career-high 13.9 rebounds and 7.4 assists while shooting a career-high 56.9 percent from the field through 38 games . If these are not MVP numbers , I don't know what is .
His team is literally hovering at .500 lol
Jokic can’t due to seeding just like Steph last year
Nuggets ain’t doing good or Sixers
CP3 or Booker should be on MVP list.
Suns are the best team in NBA right now
@Ben M L take because it’s position less basketball and joking is their primary “ball handler” I say ball handler loosely cause obviously he isn’t just crossing dudes up
i am a huge steph fan and i got to be honest he is in a huge slump but you got to remember last year steph went into mvp mode after all star break and the only reason he lost the mvp award last season was because of the warriors position on the ladder now that the warriors are 2nd in the league if he turns it up after the all star break he will be back in number 1 spot
You structure these videos so well. Always have.
Jimmy, as always... Great Content...You also highlighted MJ's Greatness as well...lol
What a timing, He literally hit the first buzzer beater of his career after Jimmy put in his video he hadn't ever made a single one just a few weeks back. I think we know what's coming now after this video.
Against the Rockets. The worst team in the league.
That goes to show you how great MJ truly is, just crazy
@Bwink23 individually speaking that is, both teams suffocated MJ and LBJ with defense and made them underperform.
That’s exactly what I’m saying.. MJ has the highest game score of all time
@SuperDopeHipHop that’s true. But I mean did you watch the bad boys documentary? Isaiah literally says he called dumars that night and they talked about Jordan for 2 hours after the loss and that he called their assistant coach at 2am in the morning to talk tactics on how to save him. And then he urged Daly to put the Jordan rules into effect and after that they did. I urge you to go watch those full games if you’d like rather than just looking at stats. They started to beat him up😭I mean it was insane. It kinda reminds me of lebrons 2015 finals. They were up 2-1 and went back to Cleveland but the warriors had changed their defensive scheme and in the last 3 games he shot under 40% and blah blah blah. Obviously what MJ went through here with the bad boys was worse. He had IT walking through a park in the middle of the night talking tactics on the phone with his coach. I’m just saying let’s not forget.
@Chris Chen If MJ for his career averaged the following instead of being 1A 1B 1C GOAT (I think objectively it’s tossup between MJ LeBron Kareem as all the best of their eras last 50 years. Bird/Magic could split 81-88 also) he would be better defending James Harden with worse FT shooting and 3%
24 (7.5 under his 🔥 31.5 ppg for Bulls)
8.5
3.7
1.7 spg (instead of awesome 2.3)
0.7 bpg (0.9 on bulls great for SG)
44.8% shooting (almost 7% under his 50.5% with Bulls
67.5% FTs (7% less then playoff career avg and that’s Lebron’s weakness like MJ from 3 and 14-15% less then MJ’s normal good FT%)
33% threes (same as normal 32.9 although when you take out 2.5 years line was moved 2-3 ft in, MJ 29% from 3 in his career)
4.3 TO pg (that’s Westbrook & Harden the last 5 years bad and MJ only 2.8 TO pg or so which is great and better then most other players in the top 15)
24, 8.5, 4, 1.7 spg, 0.7 bpg, 4.3 TO pg
44.8/67.5/33% splits
That’s like Westbrook or Harden at their worst the last decade yet you don’t think games 4-6 he played bad?
So many Ppl online just can’t be objective with their favorite players (I can with MJ, LeBron, Tiger Woods, Rafa Nadal, Reggie Miller, Peyton Manning, Kris Bryant before my Cubbies traded him to name a few).
Every all time great needs a good to fresh team to win titles, some luck, and they ALL have had bad moments and been swept in playoffs series (most 2+ series, Shaq 6 times!)
KD and Embiid both have extensive injury history atp it’s guaranteed they both miss games from injury every year so it’s not just the injury on why they didn’t win mvp there’s better players like Jok and Giannis
Chasing the 3 pt record messed up Steph’s head. Playoffs are looking normal now for Steph. Hope it remains that way.
This reminds me of that moment when Klay Thompson hit a 3, and was looking at his hand for a minute, thinking:
"Finally, you're acting right!"
This also makes me question the meaningfulness of the mvp award. Like you can break records for 30 games but if the performance at the end of the season isn’t there the rest is just dismissed. Like is that right?
That MJ stat plus that 8 year stretch where he did not lose 3 games in a row is what gave him this air of invincibility. That's what fans who actually was able to see MJ in his prime would cling on when discussing who is the goat.
@usernameispassword wow. Unreal. You’re delusional. Not even players who play today believe that.
@mr blob Yes, I believe the defense is being played at a higher level today. The amount of talent in general is more in today's league.
@usernameispassword they are also high schoolers shooting. And do you find defence played today at a higher level than the 90’s????
@mr blob Alright cool. High school players aren't guarded by NBA players
@usernameispassword no, 7/16 is playoffs , 20% is his career shooting last 5 seconds. And whether or not he finds it easier to take shots 0-3 feet is irrelevant. ALL PLAYERS FIND 0-3 easier. It shows that he only has 50% field goal percentage because 75% of his shots are high percentage shots. Lebron is a career 37% shooter outside 3 feet. 35% playoffs. This is literally garbage water. High schoolers shoot better than he does.
I think every good play has to go through the "slump" stage, LeBron has been through it, Shaq has been though it, and even MJ too has also been through it, and with Draymond gone Steph Curry too.
That MJ stat gave me goosebumps
Giannis or the Joker deserve to win it so far. Jokič in my favour. If Steph is gonna win it while playing like that any longer, the MVP award is a joke.
Steph: And I took that personally. (Proceeds to get a game winner the next straight game)
Maybe we have to explore how they are defending Curry. It May be the reason behind his cold strech.
Its crazy that he posts weekly, thanks Jimmy
Curry just hit a game winning buzzer beater a while ago. 🏀🏀
which he wouldn't have needed if he did well in the previous half.
a non-clutch player hitting everything in the 1 - 3 quarters is still better than a clutch player slumping in 1 - 3 who luckily managed to hit a game winner in 4th.
